Dear IMPFOI,
You have not replied to my FOI request Information about your dealings with Stonewall promptly, as normally required by law. Your response should have been sent to me by 15th March.

Dear Ms Wilde,
Thank you for your Freedom of Information Act request, below.
Please find attached details of Imperial College’s submissions to
Stonewall in relation to the Workplace Equality Index assessment. Personal
information has been removed. Information is exempt from disclosure under
the Freedom of Information Act, Section 40(2), if it is personal data.
We regard feedback received from Stonewall as commercially sensitive.
Information is exempt from disclosure if disclosure would prejudice
commercial interests (Section 43). The feedback on submissions is a part
of the service provided by Stonewall in exchange for the Membership fee.
It would prejudice Stonewall’s commercial interests for this material to
be made available to the general public. When applying the S. 43
exemption, we must consider whether the public interest would favour
disclosure despite the prejudice identified. The College is not aware of
any public interest in the feedback Imperial College received from
Stonewall being disclosed to the general public. Information about
Imperial College’s policies and approach to diversity and inclusion is
freely available on our website. The College’s view is that any public
interest in disclosure does not outweigh the public interest in protecting
Stonewall’s commercial interests.
Please see attached copies of communications received from Stonewall in
2019 or 2020. Personal information has been removed.
No equality impact assessment has been carried out in connection with any
submissions sent to Stonewall.
Imperial College pays £5,000 (excluding VAT) per year for Stonewall
Diversity Champions membership. Imperial College is currently a member. We
do not hold any records relating to future intentions regarding this
membership.
If you are unhappy with the way that we have handled your request, you can
ask us to conduct a review. Please make your representation in writing
within 40 days of the date you received this response. If you remain
dissatisfied with how Imperial College has handled your request, you may
then approach the [1]Information Commissioner’s Office.
Yours,
Freedom of Information Team
