Re: Request for Information – Freedom of Information Act 2000
I wish to confirm that the Human Resources, Performance & Communications
Directorate has now completed its search for the information which you
requested by e-mail on 5 May 2016.
Your questions and my findings are below:-
1. What minimum qualifications are required to be a communications
manager in your organisation (based on your existing job specs)
We don’t have a permanent post with this title. The nearest equivalent would be
Communications and Marketing Business Partner. The qualification required is
a relevant professional or postgraduate qualification (Level 7).
2. May I request a copy of the job specification for the position of
communications officer.
Please see attached document.
3. How many people work in the communications team & what is the
composition, eg one manager and five officers, three managers and ten
officers, five managers, five officers and five assistants etc etc
1 x Head of Comms and Marketing (£54,641 - £59,021)
1 x Comms and Marketing Manager (acting) (£40,619 - £43,387)
4 x Comms and Marketing Business Partner (£33,106 – £36,019) (one of these is
currently the acting Comms Manager, see above)
5 x Comms and Marketing Officer (£26,556 - £29,033)
1 x Comms and Marketing Assistant (Undergraduate placement) (£14,975 -
£16,191)
1 x Marketing Manager (vacant) (£36,937 - £39,660)
1 x Marketing Officer (£33,106 - £36,019)
4. May I request a breakdown of the job roles and respective salaries for all
posts within the communications team.
