Information about current or future non-invasive ventilation use by ambulance crews
Dear South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust,
My name is Martin, I am a second year student paramedic currently investigating the use of non-invasive ventilation in UK ambulance services as part of one of my assignments. I would like to request the following information:
1. Is there any region within SECAS currently where ambulance crews* have access to non-invasive ventilation machines in the form of CPAP or Bi-PAP?
2. Is there any region within SECAS where there are plans to introduce non-invasive ventilation machines in the form of CPAP or Bi-PAP in the foreseeable future for use by ambulance crews*?
* Where ambulance crews refers to vehicles which are either paramedic-led or technician-led and responding to 999 calls.
Yours faithfully,
Martin Antoszczak
