Information about Bodies Refusing to Implement SPSO Recommendations

Prof Ben Paechter made this Freedom of Information request to Scottish Public Services Ombudsman

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Prof Ben Paechter

Dear Scottish Public Services Ombudsman,

I note that in his evidence to Parliament the Ombudsman mentioned that some bodies under his jurisdiction are not complying with his recommendations. He declined to name them.

For cases decided in the last two years:

Please could you list by name all of the bodies under jurisdiction who have not implemented recommendations of the SPSO by the date set by the SPSO. For each body please provide the number of recommendations not implemented and the number of cases affected?

Please could you list by name all of the bodies under jurisdiction who have not implemented recommendations of the SPSO by a month after the date set by the SPSO. For each body please provide the number of recommendations not implemented and the number of cases affected?

Please could you list by name all of the bodies under jurisdiction who have not implemented recommendations of the SPSO by six months after the date set by the SPSO. For each body please provide the number of recommendations not implemented and the number of cases affected?

Please could you list by name all of the bodies under jurisdiction who have not implemented recommendations of the SPSO by one year after the date set by the SPSO. For each body please provide the number of recommendations not implemented and the number of cases affected?

Yours faithfully,

Prof Ben Paechter
