Information

The request was successful.

Dear Scottish Fire and Rescue Service,

I am making an information request for any reports of damage to fire appliances or fire officers cars while in attendance at senior football clubs on a match day. By "in attendance " I mean at an incident or being there for fire safety reasons during a match.

If there are any incidents described as above can you provide the venue, the date, the damage, cost of repairs if repairable and any costs claimed back from the club or clubs involved.

I require this for the last 4 years.

Yours faithfully,

Paul Temple

Dear Ms Reid,

Thank you for your reply. I am diassapointed that the costs for a search would exceed £600. To reduce the costs of a search I'll be more specific on dates and venues.

Did a Fire Offices car get damaged on 13 December 2018 at Celtic park. What was the damage, was the car repaired or written off and did Celtic Football Club make good the costs incurred to the Fire service for any losses.

Please treat this as an FOI for the above.

Yours sincerely,

Paul Temple

Dear Reid, Sharon,

Please pass this email and the FOI request on for review. The fire service has ignored my request for further information regards the vandalism of an officers car.

Please review and reply.

Dear Reid, Sharon,
Thank you for the late reply.
By way of clarification, the original request specifically stated while in attendance at a match for fire or fire safety purposes.

Can you confirm the officer who was attending was there in his official capacity for SFRS at the Celtic match? Also can you confirm the car was damaged within the Celtic Park stadium footprint i.e Celtic property.

Lastly please supply a copy of the report submitted that the fleet manager relies upon for the information. Feel free to redact any names.

Yours sincerely,

Paul Temple

Dear Scottish Fire and Rescue Service,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Scottish Fire and Rescue Service's handling of my FOI request 'Information'.
I asked for a clarification. You chose to makenit a new FOI. You still didn't complain with the request or time scales.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/i...

Dear Reid, Sharon,

Thank you for your reply. Treat this as a request for an internal review. I do not believe you have lied to me but I believe those who gave you the information to send have.
As for no record of an officer attending a Celtic FC match and having their Fire Service car damaged I have seen the entry on your system recording the incident. It confirms that the car was parked in a Celtic FC designated parking area while TS03 was attending as event standby.

Your organisation is prepared to lie why? Please send a pdf copy of the event entry made on the vehicle accident log kept on the system in Johnstone Operations Control.

Yours sincerely,

Paul Temple

Dear SFRS Information Governance,
Thanks for the information. This should have been disclosed months ago. Having looked at the replies to FOI requests on What Do They Know from your public service. I can conclude that SFRS tries to avoid giving out information to requests.
Whether I take this forward to the ICO I will decide later.
The main point a public servant/emergency workers response vehicle was damaged by Celtic football fans and I appears that SFRS deliberately tried to hide that fact.

Yours sincerely,

Paul Temple
