Further to your recent request for information relating to the above,
which has been dealt with under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

 

You asked :

 

I am looking to find out if the following was ever made /implemented and

Kirklees Borough Council (Stopping Up of Highways at Pine Street,
Huddersfield)

 

Please find the Council’s response below :

 

We can confirm that the Order was made under Section 116 of the Highways
Act 1980 and was granted by the Courts on 7 December 2016, the Order
coming into effect immediately, as per the terms of the legislation.  

 

As required by legislation, the Council’s intention to approach the Courts
was advertised for the requisite period in the Huddersfield Daily Examiner
and the London Gazette. 

 

Please find attached a copy of the Order, duly signed by the Justice of
the Peace. 

 

If you are not content with the handling of your request, you have the
right to ask for an internal review.  Requests for internal reviews should
be submitted within 2 months of the date of receipt of the response to
your original request and should be addressed to the Monitoring Officer,
1st Floor, Civic Centre 3, Market Street, Huddersfield HD1 2EY.
