Information

The request was successful.

Dear Sirs,

There have been a number of high profile cases in the Public Sector recently of data either being lost i.e. Laptops and memory sticks left in public places or malicious programs extracting contact information i.e. Personal details. I would like to know what security measures you have in place (or intend to put in place) to prevent such occurrences and who is responsible for IT Security (Name and Title)?

Many thanks for you assistance in this matter.

Yours faithfully,

David Blades

Dear Mr Blades

I am responding to your recent request for information.

I attach a copy of our Acceptable Use Policy.

In addition I can advise that all new Corporate laptops come pre-encrypted and all USB sticks must be encrypted as detailed in the attached policy.

My colleague Ian Aston, Infrastructure Development Manager is responsible for IT security.

I trust this is helpful, however if you are dissatisfied with my handling of your request the attached leaflet sets out your rights.
