Info relating to PMLD Provision in and out of Area

The request was successful.

Dear Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council,

Please can you provide me with answers to the questions below. All questions relate to children in the age range 6-19 with the SEN profile of Severe to Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties.
1. How many children within your area have the above SEN profile.
2. Do you place children in out-of-area provision, if required? If so how many children in the last academic year were educated out-of-area?
3. Do you have any agreements/arrangements with neighbouring authorities whereby provision is sought in these areas before looking at provision via the general Section 41 list?
4. Have you entered into any education contracts with Scope for placements at Meldreth Manor School (Fenny Lane, Meldreth, Royston, Herts SG8 6LG) in the last 5 years?
5. If so, what was the value of each contract (amount and length of time)?

Yours faithfully
