Info on street lighting and CCTV outside Camphill House at entrance to Queen's Park

The request was refused by Community Safety Glasgow.

Dear Community Safety Glasgow,

In the light of the recent attack and serious sexual assault on a woman at the Victoria Road
entrance to Queen's Park I am writing to request that you consider installing CCTV at the entrance to the park at Goal's Football club, leading up to Camphill House.

I am pleased to see that the lampposts have recently been lit but there is still one not working which I have reported. There are several women and indeed men who live in the House and may require to enter the park to return home when it is dark.

I am aware that there have been attacks of this nature before, and tragically a woman was murdered.

It would be good to know if you are going to address the safety of the Camphill House

Thank you in anticipation

Camphill Music

Dear Sir / Madam,

Request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002

I write to acknowledge receipt of your email of 11^th April 2016.

Community Safety Glasgow (“CSG”) does not consider your request valid
under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (“the Act”) as the

Notwithstanding the validity, CSG interprets this request as a request for
a service – i.e. the installation of CCTV at the entrance of Queens Park –
and not a request for information currently held by the organisation. Your
request has been passed to our Area Services Team for consideration as
part of the ongoing development of Public Space CCTV provision in Glasgow.

Yours sincerely,
