Further to our email dated 01 Feb 2019, we have since been advised that
our reply to your Freedom of Information request was not accurate. 
Information relevant to the Infected Blood Inquiry was being dealt with by
a select number of senior staff at the time.  Our initial response was
based on information that we received from staff that were not aware of
this activity.  We are therefore writing to you under section 16 (our duty
to assist) to provide you with the correct response to your request, which
was submitted to the Trust on 08 Jan 2019 (our ref: FOI005464). 

 

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this error may
have caused.

 

Your request:

 

1.     Copies of all correspondence to/from the Infected Blood Inquiry

1.  During the period 01 April 2018 to 07 Jan 2019, the only
correspondence relevant to your request is a letter from a solicitor
involved in the Inquiry which was received by the Trust on 17 Aug 2018.

 

2.  Yes – see question 1.

 

3.  Please find attached the correspondence mentioned above.  The name,
contact details and signature of the author have been redacted under
section 40(2) personal information exemption, as governed by GDPR/DPA 2018
legislation.
