REQUEST/RESPONSE

Independent Special School Funding

1 Please can you tell me how many independent special school places are
currently funded by the local authority? 

5 placements.

2 Where possible, please break down the numbers by local authority and
whether these are day, weekly boarding, 39-week boarding or 52-week
boarding placements. 

We are unable to provide you with a breakdown of the information in terms
of Section 38(1)(b) third party personal data.  Due to the low number
there is a risk of identifying an individual and disclosure would breach
the first principle of GDPR in that it would be not be fair or lawful to
disclose.

I would like to draw your attention to the copyright situation in relation
to the material.

The council holds the copyright for all of the material provided and it
may be reproduced free of charge in any format or media without requiring
specific permission. This is subject to the material not being used in a
derogatory manner or in a misleading context. The source of the material
must be acknowledged as Fife Council and the title of the document must be
