Independent review of how CMS supports victims of domestic abuse

The request was refused by Child Maintenance Service.

Dear Child Maintenance Service,

On thursday 24th June Baroness Stedman Scott informed the House of Lords that she is in the "“process of commissioning an independent review of ways in which the Child Maintenance Service supports victims of domestic abuse.” (see transcript here https://hansard.parliament.uk/Lords/2021...).

Please provide the following information in respect of this independant review.

1. The documented scope of the review.
2. Details of the advertisement to recruit the practitioner/s to conduct the review
3. If the practitioner/s has been selected details of their qualifications and experience to carry out this work.
4. If the practitioner/s have not been appointed but have been shortlisted then the criteria to be used to assess those shortlisted in order to make an appointment.
5. Has/did the CMS directly approached any candidates requesting they apply for the role, if so who.
6. Does the scope of this review include investigating the possibility that NRP's can be a victim of domestic abuse and RP's can be the perpetrator of that abuse?
7. In addition to whoever may be (or has been) appointed to author the independant reviews report, will there be any other 'expert advisors' appointed in this process, if so how will they be chosen (or how were they if already appointed), who are they and what are the relevant experience and qualifications they possess.
8. What is the rate of pay that individuals selected to carry out this work will be paid, or what is the total fee for the project if a fixed fee has been determined.
9. If no fixed fee has been determined what is the budget cap for this exercise to be completed.

Yours faithfully,

Brian Hudson
