If you have, please could you provide me with your responses to the

Our response is

The council did not submit a response to the Government’s consultation on
the proposed closure of the Independent Living Fund (ILF).

I can confirm in the interests of transparency, that colleagues from the

Dear relations, customer,

Would it be possible for you to find out for me what those views were that were expressed and also was this conference actually about the proposed closure of the ILF or not (A consultation event perhaps), many thanks.

Yours sincerely,

Paul Taylforth

relations, customer, Medway Council

Dear Mr Taylforth

Further to your question -

Would it be possible for you to find out for me what those views were that
were expressed and also was this conference actually about the proposed
closure of the ILF or not (A consultation event perhaps),

Michael Hood who is Self directed Support  Operations  co ordinator
attended the meeting with ILF .    It was  not
specifically  regarding the proposed closure of ILF however  this was a
topic of discussion.  This  conference was some time ago and  the
view that was given was what the expectation would be on the local
authority with regards to the monitoring and reporting of the funds should
they be given to the local authority.

We have received correspondence from ILF, they wish to meet with
authorities now looking at how they can progress with consultation and
plan future arrangements. This matter is being discussed further and it
would be Michael Hood that meets with the ILF.

I hope this has answered your queries and completes the Freedom of
Information request .

Yours  Sincerely
