Dear Maidstone Borough Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Maidstone Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Increase in the number of Domestic Abuse Victims'.

The Safer Maidstone Partnership is a a great idea but how often do these initiatives yield meaningful results?

I specifically refer to Maidstone's Housing Strategy which took five years to complete and John Littlemore told me MBC could not achieve any of the targets!

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/i...

Dear Fergus Wilson

In response to your question:

The Safer Maidstone Partnership is a a great idea but how often do these
initiatives yield meaningful results?

I specifically refer to Maidstone's Housing Strategy which took five years
to complete and John Littlemore told me MBC could not achieve any of the
targets!

The results are laid out in the Strategic Assessment (Appendix 1).
Unfortunately, there will always be violence and Domestic Abuse, so the
Partnership’s purpose is to do what we can to raise awareness, minimise
the number of victims, and support victims to become survivors. The
direction of travel is very positive with more and more services working
closer on this and the other priority themes.

Our Housing Strategy is always a 5 year document.

Yours sincerely
