Incorrect speed sign below camera set by TFL in Prince Regent Lane

Sarah Khan made this Freedom of Information request to Transport for London Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

Transport for London did not have the information requested.

Dear Transport for London,

At the exact location on A112 ie prince regent lane heading towards a13 junction just after Argyle road there is an incorrect speed sign of 20mph below the camera when it should say 30mph.

Google street view link here showing old correct sign: https://maps.app.goo.gl/9x6j9MmaLBzZ4qxa...

However, TFL has changed this to 20mph when no traffic management order (TMO) exists and the speed limit of this road remains 30mph. Please explain why an incorrect speed limit sign has been posted including all supporting legal documents such as a valid TMO. Otherwise please confirm the earliest date the sign will be fixed.

Yours faithfully,

Sarah Khan

Dear Transport for London,

Please note Newham council have confirmed that this sign and camera is managed by TFL and is TFL's responsibility to correct.

Yours faithfully,

Sarah Khan

Dear Sarah Khan

TfL Ref: FOI-1966-2425

Thank you for your request which we received on 18 September 2024.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of
the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy.

Unfortunately, we do not hold the information you have requested. The A112
Prince Regent Lane is not on the Transport for London Road Network (TLRN),
so we are not responsible for signage on this road. It would be down to
the local borough and/or the MPS.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to
appeal.

Yours sincerely
