I am writing to request an internal review of Hampshire Police Authority 's handling of my FOI request 'Incompatible business interests'.

Further to your email below requesting an internal review of the handling of your request, I can advise that this has now been carried out.
This review has revealed that you were given incorrect information in our response dated 30 March 2010 for which I apologise.
The response to your query should have been:
1 Please confirm whether or not in the last 3 years a police authority panel has been convened as a result of a request from a Chief Constable to hear a case to decide whether a police officer should be dismissed as a result of an allegation of having an incompatible business interest.
Response: Yes, a panel was convened on one occasion in the three year period.
2 If so, what was the business interest?
Response: This information has been exempted by virtue of the following exemption:
S40 Personal Information
S40(2)(a) applies to third party personal data. This would not be released under the Freedom of Information Act as any release would breach the Data Protection Principles contained within the Data Protection Act (1998). Personal data is defined under the Data Protection Act (1998) as data that is biographical in nature, has the applicant as its focus and/or affects the data subject's privacy in his or her personal, professional or business life.
3 What was the result?
Response: The decision of the Chief Constable was upheld by the panel.
