Incidents by Station mobilised to

The request was successful.

Dear North Wales Fire and Rescue Service,

i would like to request the turnout statistics for each station.

for example

bala - 30 calls
wrexham - 300 calls
etc

this would be for the calendar year 2022

i am asking for all turnouts to incidents by appliances, including standby moves to other stations. if more than one appliance turns out to the incident, i would still like it to be counted as one incident

Yours faithfully,

MR Oliver Todd

Dear Sir

Further to your request for information as detailed below, it is clear
that NWFRS will be unable to provide a response without clarification of
the information required regarding the counting of incidents.

As the request is by appliance, it has been interpreted as counting and
including all appliances that were alerted to an incident.  For example,
an incident in Rhyl may be attended by both Rhyl and Prestatyn, and
another station is alerted but stood down, in which case it would count as
3 appliances. However, if you simply want the number of incidents attended
then the example quoted would be counted as just one. Please confirm the
way in which you would want an example such as this counted.

Once you have clarified your request NWFRS will be able to prepare a
response. If clarification is not received within three months your
request will be considered to have lapsed (under section 1(3) of the
Freedom of Information Act a public authority need not comply with a
request unless any further information reasonably required to locate the
information is supplied).

Yours faithfully,

Swyddog Rhyddid Gwybodaeth/Freedom of Information Officer

Dear Sir,

Further to your recent request to North Wales Fire and Rescue Service
(NWFRS) made under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act for turnout
statistics for 2022, please see the attached spreadsheet for the response
from NWFRS.

NWFRS confirms that it holds the information relating to standby
occurrences; however, from our preliminary assessment, we have estimated
that it will cost more than the ‘appropriate limit’ to consider your
request. The standby information you have requested is recorded manually,
and to provide the information would require examination of the records
for each day in 2022 for any such occurrences.

Section 12 of the Act makes provision for public authorities to refuse
requests for information where the cost of dealing with them would exceed
the appropriate limit, which for local government is set at £450. This
represents the estimated cost of one person spending 2.5 working days in
determining whether the department holds the information, locating,
retrieving and extracting the information.

If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the
right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be
submitted within two months of the date of receipt of the response to your
original correspondence and should be addressed to:

The Freedom of Information Officer

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters

Ffordd Salesbury

St Asaph Business Park

St Asaph

Denbighshire

If you remain dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have a
right to appeal to the Information Commissioner at:

The Information Commissioner's Office

Wycliffe House

Water Lane

Wilmslow

Cheshire

SK9 5AF

Telephone: 08456 30 60 60 or 01625 54 57 45

There is no charge for making an appeal.
