Human Resources (Health & safety):
BHCC have an on-line incident reporting system which is a bespoke application designed and built by Brighton & Hove, using Firmstep Achieve Forms as a front end. The system is a corporate ICT system which is managed by our internal ICT department. Firmstep Achieve Forms is an application used for a number of purposes across the council: the incident reporting system front end is just one of its uses at Brighton & Hove.
There are 8 staff in health and safety whose role involves aspects of incident investigation as part of their wider job role.

Complaints Team members total 7, but we have 25 licences available for use across the whole council. In total 20 are currently being used.

Incase Inteligence

Incase Intelligence was purchased by BHCC on 1st April 2008.

There is no contract stating that the system is to be provided for “x” number of years. The suitability of the system for BHCC needs is reviewed on an annual basis. BHCC have signed a 3 year support contract which expires on 31st March 2016.

Support contract is £2,000 per year which includes an annual training day. Annual licence fee for 2014/15 was £7831.87 plus VAT.

The cost to upgrade from the previous Incase system and the purchase of the additional database for Audit and training and installation of the system was £12,400.

The Corporate Fraud Team currently consists of a Corporate Fraud Manager, a Senior Investigator, 4 fte Investigation Officers and an Administrative Support Officer.
