Incentives to get people back to work

The request was partially successful.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

I would like some information on your schemes to get people back into work. In particular I believe you have a scheme whereby you pay JSA for a period of time whilst the person works for a company. In the event the company then takes the person on:

- is there a guaranteed minimum number of hours the company must commit to in employing the person?

- assuming there is, what are the minimum hours the company must commit to?

- is there a minimum period the person must be employed for, ie six or twelve months?

- is the company given a financial incentive to employ the person and if so how much? In the event disclosure of the actual figure falls within an exclusion I would be satisfied with just a yes/no answer.

Yours faithfully,

Catherine Wilson
