Wandsworth Request for Information - WBC-FOI-06308 - In-year School Places

I refer to your request for information received on 27 August 2024.

below in response to your request: -

 1. Number of places available by year group and by school in the 24/25
academic year that might accept additional students in-year?

2 448

5 392

Based on May 2024 Pupil Census.

 2. Where there is no space, the length of any waiting lists for those
places, by school and by year group?

Data not held. Waiting lists are administered directly by all state
maintained secondary schools and academy, voluntary aided and foundation
primary schools. 

 3. Any analysis relating to contingency planning for a potential increase
in students from the private school sector in this academic year,
either produced for Wandsworth or received by Wandsworth from central
government?

Place sufficiency is as outlined above and in the event that additional
places are required, additional capacity will be provided through the
recommissioning of classrooms that are currently unused.

Dear Mr Luke,

Thank you for your email received on 20/10/2024.  Please accept our
apologies for the delay.  Please see the information below and attached in
response to your follow-up request: -

I asked for the data to be provided 'by school' as well as by year group,
but instead received council totals across all schools.  I would like the
breakdown to specify the figures for each school.

Please see attached tables.  The information is taken from the last
complete school census in May 2024.
