Calderdale Against Corruption left an annotation ()

We feel we must add that CMBC's request for the last name of the enquirer is irrelevant and not actually required under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, especially when a name has already been given.

In this specific case, CMBC already had the requester's last name, and, incredibly, requested it again despite already being informed of the person's or organisation's name.

Our organisation, Calderdale Against Corruption, has lost track of the amount of times CMBC has breached the FOI rules in this respect, and it seems they need further training on what qualifies as a valid FOI request.

To reiterate: CMBC DO NOT require a full first name or last name to process the request, so we hope CMBC will take this feedback on board and give training to the "responsible" people who handle their FOI request.
