The request was refused by Law Society of Northern Ireland.

Dear Law Society of Northern Ireland,

By way of a FOI request I respectfully request the following information.

In his Practice Note 3/2012 the Lord Chief Justice of Northern Ireland, Sir Declan Morgan identified the position of the legislature in respect of 'McKenzie Friends ', (Part II sec 13-17) and the grant of right of audience and right to conduct litigation.

I would be grateful if you could provide details of how the Law Society and associated Inn of Court, has from that time taken steps to reasonably accommodate the recommendations of the LCJ in respect of McKenzie Friends and Litigants in person.

Furthermore I would be interested in learning the position of the Law Society & Inn of Court of Northern Ireland in respect of access to legal resources for such litigants.

Yours Aye,

J.C.M. Hughes
