Importing medicinal cannabis from NL
Dear Home Office,
As medicinal cannabis is now legal in the UK but the NHS refuses to prescribe it and due to the fact that I can't afford to pay UK GPs over a thousand pounds per month for private cannabis prescriptions.
Can you provide me with copies of laws that prevent me from purchasing medicinal cannabis from a GP in the Netherlands (where it costs hundreds of pounds less) and bringing it back to the UK for my own personal use.
Can you also provide me with copies of any documentation I need to have signed by the GP in the Netherlands to allow me to import it.
Can you also provide me with copies of the law that prevents me from receiving medical cannabis from a GP in the Netherlands by mail.
Yours faithfully,
Kenneth Heskin

Dear Home Office,
Thank you for your rather vague response.
However, I visited the link as advised and from what I can gather from reading the text, if a GP in Holland produces a prescription containing my name and address, for medicinal cannabis and I acquire it from a legal pharmacy in Holland then It would be completely legal to bring it back to my home here in the UK because medicinal cannabis was legalised here in November 2018. Its no different from bringing back a prescription for say Valium.
Can you confirm this is correct or at the very least point me towards the people who could address my query?
I'm suffering terrible arthritic pain that only medicinal cannabis can control but I cant afford 1k per month for private cannabis prescriptions here in the UK.
Its unfair that the rich can purchase these prescriptions and be pain free but those of us who can't afford it have to suffer and sometimes die.
I need answers, and fast.
Yours faithfully,
Kenneth Heskin

Dear Public Enquiries (CD),
If I'm on holiday out of the uk and I run out of co codamol (a controlled drug) and am prescribed it abroad. Is it illegal to return to the uk with the co codamol?
Therefore on an 18 hour flight does this mean I will have to endure chronic pain as the co codamol I took prior to boarding wears off?
Yours sincerely,
I am the agent for the fictional strawman that was created with the name Kenneth Heskin
