Impartiality - 2

The request was successful.

Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,

Thank you for your response to RFI20220767 and your apology. Bearing in mind said reply, quite why it took nearly 60 working days to prepare will remain a mystery to us all.

However, it does prompt me to rephrase my original question based on the comments you have made...

I read this article https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/2022/b... with interest and in particular the claim that "Questions around impartiality were included in the BBC staff survey for the first time and 94% of staff from across the BBC who took part said they understood why impartiality is important."

I understand the survey asked staff to indicate, on a scale of “Strongly agree” to “Strongly disagree”, whether they understand why impartiality is important for the BBC and the staff survey did not ask staff whether they consider impartiality to be important.

Please provide the full results of this survey, broken down by department. If that exceeds cost limits or is just not available then I would be content to receive a simple list of the departments in which staff who "Strongly disagree" that impartiality is important are employed and the number of staff who think that way.

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

Mr A Willmore

Dear FOI Enquiries,

In your internal review posted some nine days ago you told me "I understand the response is currently being processed.".

When might I receive the response you promised?

Yours sincerely,

Mr A Willmore

Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of the 1st December internal review of British Broadcasting Corporation's handling of my FOI request 'Impartiality - 2'.

Your internal review told me "I understand the response is currently being processed.". Two weeks later and I have yet to receive said response. The statement is bordering on the untrue and makes your apology rather meaningless. Despite my request a few days ago for an update on how your response was progressing you chose to keep me obfuscated.

My request was originally submitted on 22nd September. I consider that nearly three months is an excessive amount of time to process what, on the face of it, was a reasonably simple request.

Dear FOI Enquiries,

Hello? Is there anybody there?

Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,

You seem to have missed, or ignored, my internal review request from 15th December for reasons known only to yourselves, so let's have another go...

Dear Mr Willmore

We apologise profusely for the delay in responding to your request. We are still working on a response and hope to get this to you as soon as possible. However, please note that the email sent to us on the 15 December 2022 was not considered an Internal Review request as it was the same request sent to us initially on the 3rd November 2022. If you are still unhappy, you can contact the Information Commissioners Office.

Again, we apologise for the delay.

Yours sincerely
