Dear FOI Requests,

Request for internal review

Thank you for your reply to my FOI request, "How many studies have the department commenced or concluded into the effects of the UK exiting the EU?"

Your response is self-contradictory. You state "the Department does not hold the information in the manner requested", yet also confidently state "The Government is working, both within Whitehall and more widely, to make sure that our preparations for exit from and new partnership with the European Union (EU) are on track. This includes preparing effectively for all potential outcomes. The Government is carrying out an ongoing programme of comprehensive analytical work"

These statements are mutually exclusive. If, as you state, your department is engaged in an extensive programme of analytical work, please share these data as requested.

Yours sincerely,
Mark Edwards
