Dear Joanne Mulliner,

Thank you for your response.

I would like to make a new request for information about the consultation document "Have your say...on changes to bin collections". This is a four-page document which has been sent to residential addresses - there is a small reference number on the back page CM578_18.

Please provide any correspondence which relates to the design and content of that document, including any earlier versions of the document which were prepared. The timeframe for the request should be for the period of eight weeks prior to the final version of the document being approved.

Yours sincerely,

J Taylor

Dear Joanne Mulliner,

I wish to request an internal review of the council's response dated 28 February 2018. This states that the council has not conducted an assessment of the environmental impact of proposed introduction of three-weekly waste collections.

However, the paper for the Executive meeting on 6 February 2018 states that the environmental services team accessed consultancy support for a firm of environmental consultants, Eunomia, funded by the WRAP programme. The resulting project investigated all options available to the council for design and commenced in April 2017.

Please can you confirm whether that project assessed the environmental impact of the proposed introduction of three-weekly waste collections?

Yours sincerely,

J Taylor

Specific Issues you raised

I wish to request an internal review of the council's response dated 28

assessment of the environmental impact of proposed introduction of
three-weekly waste collections.

However, the paper for the Executive meeting on 6 February 2018 states

for design and commenced in April 2017.

Please can you confirm whether that project assessed the environmental
impact of the proposed introduction of three-weekly waste collections?

Our consultants modelled the environmental impacts (greenhouse gas
emissions) and compliance with the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations
2012 for the recycling options but not for three weekly residual
collections or chargeable green waste collections.

Decision

The final decision of this review is that the Council upheld your
complaint.
