Immigration enforcement stops
Dear Home Office,
Please consider the following as a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. The Home Office's guidance on enforcement visits (available here: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk...) notes that immigration officers may take part in street operations where there is intelligence indicating that immigration offences may be being committed.
Further, the guidance on enforcement interviews (available here: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk...) notes that "You must be able to fully justify your reasons for questioning an individual and record this in your PNB or on PRONTO," and explains that the reason for the stop must be recorded in an officer's PNB.
Please release, under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, any pro forma or template used to record such stops, including fields for officers to record the reasons for an individual being stopped.
Yours faithfully,
Mary Atkinson
