Please could you tell me much profit, giving a year by year breakdown (after all expenses and associated costs are deducted) has the Tate (London, Liverpool and St. Ives, Cornwall) made from image sales for the past 10 years or as many as the service has been running for if less than 10 years.

Dear Ms Hall
Please find attached the response to your request for information.
On behalf of Tate's Freedom of Information Group
Thank you very much for your reply, I'm sorry to say I am unsatisfied with the answer.
I would suggest it is in the public interest to know whether the business model of restricting use of images funded by the public is profitable.
I'm sorry that you are unsatisfied with our response, which I hereby attach again for reference. As we pointed out, Tate Gallery simply does not hold the information you requested. We gave you contact details of the individual in Tate Enterprises Ltd [a separate legal entity to Tate Gallery] who may be able to assist. May we suggest you write to them directly.
With kind regards
