Image Based Sexual Abuse Consultation/Survey

The request was partially successful.

Dear North Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner,

Recent newspaper coverage of your efforts to effect a change in the law to accommodate victims of revenge porn has been redolent of percentages of consultees in certain categories (e.g. victims achieving successful prosecutions, victims who have not reported offences, etc).

https://www.thescarboroughnews.co.uk/new...

1) Would you please confirm the total number of participants in your consultation, so that precise numerical values can be attributed to the cited percentages?

You are quoted as stating "The evidence is stark and irrefutable – the government, police and criminal justice system are collectively failing victims of revenge porn".

It has been suggested that the government, police and criminal justice system are collectively failing victims of several categories of unacceptable conduct.

2) Would you please provide such figures as you may hold on the total number of victims comprising the various sub-categories of victims (e.g. victims achieving successful prosecutions, victims who have not reported offences, etc) of bullying in the work place?

Thank you.

Yours, with kindest regards,

Nigel

Dear North Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner,

Further to my WDTK.com lodged Freedom of Information request of 23rd November 2018, which I note is now overdue and out-of-time, I write to request an Internal Review.

In your acknowledgement of my FOIA request, you stated:

"I will ensure you have a response as soon as possible, and within the statutory time limits."

Given the appalling record of the OPCC/NY regarding FOIA requests, I was surprised that you would make such an unequivocal commitment. Sadly, I am not surprised that you have failed to honour it.

If you would be so good as to fulfil my original request within 5 working-days, I will be happy to withdraw my request for Internal Review, thus sparing the public purse any associated costs.

Yours,with kindest regards,

Nigel

Dear North Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner,

Thank you for your up-date.

I wonder if you would be so good as to address me by my given name - 'Nigel' - in future correspondence, please?

I do not hold with titles and find them deeply offensive.

Please accept my compliments of the season; I shall look forward to a fully compliant response in the coming days.

Kind regards,

Nigel

Sarah,

In the interests of ensuring that my report to the North Yorks Enquirer and to Private Eye (on the matters referred to in my Freedom of Information request and its associated Internal Review), especially in the light of today's news regarding fresh allegations against the Commissioner (https://www.yorkpress.co.uk/news/1733091...), is both comprehensive and even-handed, could I request that Civil Disclosure provides its full response to me as soon as possible, please?

This will ensure a fair and balanced report which, I have no doubt, the Commissioner will be relieved to see.

Thank you.

With kind regards,

Nigel
