Dear JJ Evans
Re: Information request
Thank you for your request dated 11 July 2019 for information from NHS Blood and
Transplant (NHSBT) regarding the Infected Blood Inquiry.
I am writing to advise you that we can provide you with the following information in
relation to your request.
Under FOI, I am requesting the following information.
All reports you hold in connection with a review of unclaimed boxes stored in
Iron Mountain (IM) during 2018.
NHSBT are working with Iron Mountain on a project to add more detail to our records
archive inventory, this project is ongoing. Once a full detailed inventory has been
checked for accuracy it will be shared with the Infected Blood Inquiry to allow them to
request any boxes that they deem relevant to the inquiry.
Reports relating to this project are commercially sensitive under section 43 of the FOI
Act as they contain details of costs and timescales for the project.
I hope this is helpful in addressing your questions. Please quote the reference
number above in any future communications.
Yours sincerely
Wayne Lawley
