Illegally Staying in the UK after the End of Commonwealth Scholarship
Dear Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK,
General conditions of the commonwealth Scholarship, which is funded by the UK taxpayers, states that "You will be required to sign an undertaking to return to your home country as soon as possible after the end of your award." In addition, it is also mentioned that "The CSC cannot provide a letter of support or permission for you to remain in or return to the UK after your award to enable you to work." Many scholars take the final return air ticket to their home country and make a fake trip and immediately return back to the UK by falsely obtaining another visa without taking any permission from the commission. What is the commission doing to prevent this illegal activity? Is there any plan to link the commonwealth scholar list database with that of the home office so that it would be possible to prevent these individuals from making further visa applications without CSC's approval.
Yours faithfully,
George Costa
