Dear Sir or Madam,

The Valuation's Tribunal Service whose form I was sent by Pendle Council [ 2nd property trying to sell ] who have no official Complaints Dept or political representation for Council Tax payers, don't want to know. Letter arrived yesterday .They say "Only have limited jurisdiction ?"I s this the truth? No wonder I am being caused severe financial loss and civil liberties abuse. Who examines the ethics of local authorities as they appear to be a law unto themselves interfering now in health.Hiring out the Courts?
NB My own Council Islington who have registered dishonestly as mental so does not have to address issues of discrimination.
As a result request an Internal Review orally[ I am dyspraxic MA Level] with my Legal Expert Witness of 3-4 years who will verify the truth [ finding same problems- police too ] .

Yours faithfully,

Julie Shrive

The response provided here by the Home Office is correct. How can they be expected to conduct an Internal Review on a FOI request when they were not the department who dealt with the original request. Also the Home Office has no policy interest in the work of the valuation tribunal. This I believe lies with teh Tribunal Service, which I think is part of the Ministry of Justice.

Home office responsibilites are mainly crime reduction, drugs terrorism, and immigration.

Dear Ms Shrive

I can only repeat what has already been said. The Home Office is unable to
assist you with your request, which centres on problems you have
encountered with the Valuation Tribunal as it is not a body for which the
Home Office has responsibility. The sponsoring department for this
authority is the Department for Communities and Local Government.

This inability applies to your other request for internal reviews, on
correspondence between yourself and other government departments and
public authorities. The Home Office has no jurisdiction on the way which
other public authorities deal with general correspondence or Freedom of
Information requests. In the case of the latter, The Freedom of
Information Act places this responsibility with the Information
Commissioner’s Office, the contact details of which have already been
provided.

The work of the Home Office and it's remit is outlined on the Home Office
website [1]www.homeoffice.gov.uk and includes such areas as Counter
Terrorism, Immigration, Passports and Policing policy (queries regarding
the work of individual police forces should however be sent directly to
the authorities concerned)

Any further correspondence on issues which do not refer to specific Home
Office issues will not be responded to.
