Good Afternoon,

I write to you with regards to your Freedom of Information request below
which we received on 24th October 2017, reference 5529/17.

·         Upon reading your request, are you able to clarify what is meant
by  “police staff”.

Do you mean by this:

-          Staff only

-          Officers and staff

-          Officers only

Also how would you like us to present the data to you in regards to “the
number of  successful ill health retirements applications made by police
staff over the past five years and which ill health tier these where
granted under. Also which month the employment for each of these
individuals ended”, so that it is presented in a useful format for you.

The ‘clock’ counting down the 20 working day protocol for disclosure will
be stopped until clarification has been received from yourself. I.e.
clarification has been sought on the 2nd day, therefore when clarification
has been received we shall still have 18 working days to deal with your

Dear Information assurance unit,

Hi I am only interested in information relating to civilian staff not police officers.

Please can you present the information in the format
Month&Year/Number of Staff Tier1/No of Staff Tier2/No of Staff Tier3.

The policies and processes relating to ill health retirement can be either word documents or pdf format which ever is easier

Yours sincerely,

Mr Garner
