Dear Lincolnshire County Council,

Please could you answer the following questions with regards to the
closure of the Independent Living Fund.

1) Will you be ring fencing the ILF money passed to you to :-
a) Individual ILF Users.
b) Adult Social Care.
c) Not ring fence at all.

2) Have you received the details of how much money you are being
allocated and if so how much is that.

3) When will you be starting reassessments of ILF users and when do
you anticipate completing those assessments.

4) What arrangements are you putting in place for those ILF users
you have not reassessed by 30th June to continue funding their
current ILF care packages until an assessment has been carried
out.
Bearing in mind that many of these ILF users will not currently
have Direct Payments set up with the Local Authority.

5) Do you have contingency plans in case a change in Government at
the forthcoming election alters the ILF funding situation?.

Yours faithfully,

Frank Black

Request & Response

1) Will you be ring fencing the ILF money passed to you to:-

a) Individual ILF Users.

b) Adult Social Care.

c) Not ring fence at all.

The government have not provided information on whether the money will be
ring-fenced or not.  Nevertheless, any money ring-fenced to Adult Care
will form part of the budget for Adult Care.

2) Have you received the details of how much money you are being allocated
and if so how much is that.

£1.88 million is currently paid to ILF users in Lincolnshire.

3) When will you be starting reassessments of ILF users and when do you
anticipate completing those assessments.

Assessments have commenced and will be completed before 30 June 2015.

4) What arrangements are you putting in place for those ILF users you have
not reassessed by 30th June to continue funding their current ILF care
packages until an assessment has been carried out? Bearing in mind that
many of these ILF users will not currently have Direct Payments set up
with the Local Authority.

All assessments will be completed by 30 June 2015.

5) Do you have contingency plans in case a change in Government at the
forthcoming election alters the ILF funding situation?

A change in government will not affect the plans we have in place.  Our
assessments will stand whether or not the ILF ceases.

Lincolnshire County Council believes that the response outlined above
satisfies your request for information under the Freedom of Information
Act and that all information that can be made available to you has been
provided.

You are entitled to an internal review of the administration of your
