IHRA Definition of Antisemitism in Local Authorities

James made this Freedom of Information request to Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government,

On 16th September 2019, the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, Robert Jenrick, said that "he will write to councils demanding that they adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) working definition of antisemitism ‘as a matter of urgency’" (https://www.localgov.co.uk/Councils-urge...).

I request a full list of every local authority in the United Kingdom, sorted alphabetically, and whether each local authority has adopted the IHRA definition of antisemitism or not. I also request accompanied evidence of this for all local authorities that have adopted the definition. The local authorities include, but is not limited to, County Councils, District and Borough Councils, Unitary Authorities, and Greater London Authority.

Yours faithfully,

Mr James Harris
