Dear Ms Sicilliani

In response to your Freedom of information request number 6774, in which
you asked the following questions

1.         Can you please advise me on which sites there are current
agreements with regards to mobile ice cream concessions.

2.         Can you please advise me on which have ice cream van permits. 

3.         Would you please advise me of the winning amounts tendered in
previous years for the 'Ice Cream Concessions' 7 'Permits' at the above
listed sites?

4.         Also the winning amounts tendered for the 'Charge for the
Rights?

 I can confirm that a search for the information has been completed.

1.         The Council has never entered into any long term
pitch/concession agreements with ice cream vendors i.e. a regular pitch on
a fixed site in any location. In the past ice cream vendors have been
invited to attend special events e.g. Italian Festival  in the Town Centre
where a pitch fee has been charged for the duration of the festival.
However since the formation of Southend BID (2013) this type of activity
for the Town Centre is managed by the BID so you would need to contact
them directly.
