Dear Mr Mckay,

TfL Ref: 0043-1213

Thank you for your email received by Transport for London (TfL) on 10
April 2012 asking for a copy of the current text list of iBus
announcements and audio recordings, in addition to previous recordings
that were made and have yet to be broadcast.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of
the Freedom of Information Act and TfL’s information access policy.  I can
confirm TfL does hold some of the information you require. You asked for
the following:

1. Please could I have a copy of the full and most up to date text list of
announcements and the full and most up to date copy of the audio
recordings used on the iBus system used on London Buses.

We have sent the iBus audio announcements to you on a CD to the postal
address provided in your email of 9 May 2012.

Attached is a copy of the current text list of iBus announcements.

2. Please could you include in the supplied recordings and the text list,
the entire list of ALL the recordings ever made, this includes any
recordings for example that were previously used.

Please also include any recordings that were recorded and were never
implemented onto the iBus system at all, or have yet to appear on the
system.

The iBus CD that has been sent to you includes all the announcements that
are currently used on the iBus system. Withdrawn announcements are no
longer held, and therefore cannot be provided on a CD or text list format.

We currently do not plan to introduce any additional announcements, over
and above those for operational reasons, for example amending stop names
if the road layout changes. Planned announcements would also be made up of
these fragmented audio files, where possible. Please be advised that the
iBus announcements are recorded as fragments; therefore you will find that
the files you requested have been provided in this format.

Please note that while access to this material will be provided to you
under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, you are not granted any rights
to any of the intellectual property that exists in it or granted any
permission to make secondary uses of it.

TfL owns all intellectual property (including, without limitation,
copyright) in the material supplied and will defend such rights.

If you wish to make any secondary use of the material provided, you must
first obtain the consent of TfL (which may be withheld) and, if consent is
granted, a fee may be charged, in accordance with the terms of the Reuse
of Public Sector Information Regulations 2005.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable
to access it for some reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to
appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would
like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely
