Dear Dr Amit Mukherjee,
I am writing in respect of your recent request for information to Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (“The Trust”) under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“The Act”) which we received on 27 July 2022.
We have considered your request under section 1(1) of the Freedom of Information Act which entitles you to be provided with any information held by a public authority, unless an appropriate exemption applies.
Request:
How many patients who achieve reliable recovery during a course of IAPT treatment are contacted for a 6 month follow-up after treatment, and with what results?.
Clarification:
Time frame requested : Financial years 2013-2022.
Response:
The Trust does not hold the information in the way requested.
IAPT patients who achieve reliable recovery during a course of their treatment are not routinely offered a six-month follow-up appointment following their discharge from the service. A very small number of all discharged IAPT patients will receive a follow-up appointment as part of the course of treatment offered. It is to be noted that all patients are given information on how to get in touch with the service should they require help or support at any point in the future and via self referral. This is included in all discharge letters and routinely discussed at the end of treatment.
