I am looking to find website statistics for yorkshiredales.org.uk

Michael Toth made this Freedom of Information request to Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority

This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority,

I am conducting research into how much traffic yorkshiredales.org.uk gets on a month by month basis for the last 12 months. I don't seem to be able to find this information anywhere

In particular i am looking to find numbers of site visitors for the following subjects with your site.

Monthly numbers of overall sites to yorkshiredales.org.uk plus geographical location of each visitor and which part of the site was visited.

Break down of visits to each individual part of the site.

Below will give you some example but an overall statistical analysis is what i am looking for
a, https://www.yorkshiredales.org.uk/places... and all sub headings
including separately https://www.yorkshiredales.org.uk/things...
b, https://www.yorkshiredales.org.uk/things... and all sub headings
c, https://retail.yorkshiredales.org.uk/ and all sub headings
d, https://www.yorkshiredales.org.uk/plan-y...

I am also looking to find out how people people are looking for accommodation, food and drink.

I look forward to your reply

Yours faithfully,

Michael Toth

Dear Mr Toth,

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request. We have carefully
considered how much time it would take us to extract the statistics you’ve
requested, which currently runs to 49 hours. We have already taken 3 hours
to consider and explore the scope of your request.

Calculations are based on it taking 5 minutes per page to find and record
the statistics. We have identified 550 pages which fall within the scope
of your enquiry, and that’s before we start thinking about how people look
for accommodation, food and drink.

Within the Freedom of Information regulations there is an ‘appropriate
limit’ of 18 hours - the monetary equivalent of £450 - above which an
Authority does not have to provide information, although they can choose
to do so and may charge for their time.

We propose to provide you with - at no charge - the following webstats:

 1. The total number of visitors to the places to go section by month

[1]https://www.yorkshiredales.org.uk/places...

 2. The total number of visitors to the places to go section by month

[2]https://www.yorkshiredales.org.uk/things...

 3. The total number of visitors to the things to do section by month

[3]https://www.yorkshiredales.org.uk/things...

 4. The total number of visitors to the plan your visit section by month

[4]https://www.yorkshiredales.org.uk/plan-y...

 5. We’ll do our best in terms of retail statistics, but please be aware
there are a limited number of pages recording statistics here.
Products are not recorded in Google analytics.

Can you confirm you are happy for us to proceed on this basis?

Kind regards,
