The request was successful.

Dear Medway NHS Foundation Trust,

Please could you provide the following information:

How many joiners, movers, and leavers do you process per year?

How many staff/whole time equivalents manage this process?

Do you have an automated system to manage ESR?

Do you use a single sign on solution across the organisation to manage the accounts?
If so, which solution do you have?

How many people are in your organisation's data quality team?

Yours faithfully,

Dear Mr Townsend,

Freedom of Information Request: reference 5883

Thank you for your recent request under the Freedom of Information Act
2000.

The information you have requested is as follows:

How many joiners, movers, and leavers do you process per year?

Please note that as there were no specific time period stated, the
information supplied is based on current data (ie 12m rolling data):

Starters = 792 individuals

Leavers = 808 individuals

Movers (Changes) = 2653 – this relates to all employee record changes
within ESR

How many staff/whole time equivalents manage this process?

Actual changes to the system are managed by around 1.5 FTE within the
Workforce team but the processes actually involve more than just the
workforce team (ie recruitment are heavily involved with starters
processes and movers processes prior to changes being made to ESR)

Do you have an automated system to manage ESR?

No automated system to manage ESR

Do you use a single sign on solution across the organisation to manage the
accounts?

If so, which solution do you have?

No single sign on system

How many people are in your organisation's data quality team?

The Trust have a Data Assurance Team rather than a Data Quality Team.  The
difference between the two are that as a Data Assurance team we identify
Data Quality issues and try to resolve these in partnership with the
operational teams.  We do this by analysing the Data Quality issues,
producing reports to identify the problem and how the issue has occurred
and then working with the services to work on the preventing the issue
reoccurring.  The team are also heavily involved in validation of patient
pathways across RTT and DM01.

There are 10.6 WTE staff within the Data Assurance team, these are a
combination of co-ordinators, analysts, Trainers & Manager.  Ensuring that
the issues identified are resolved, corrected and where possible prevented
from reoccurring.

I hope that this gives you the answer you need, but if you are
dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the right to ask
for an internal review. Internal review requests should be submitted
within two months of the date of receipt of this email and should be
addressed to:
