Human Resources

Waiting for an internal review by The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust of their handling of this request.

Dear The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust,

Thank you for your answer to my request of October 2019 regarding the A4C grade structure of the Workforce Directorate.

Further to your answer could you detail the distribution of the 12 x Band 7, 6 x Band 8a, 2 x Band 8b and 6 x Band 8c across the 21 sub sections of the Workforce directorate indentified in your answer.

Can you also confirm where the two 'non A4C' grades are placed in the 21 sub sections.

Yours faithfully,

Michael Tomkiss

Dear Mr Tomkiss,

Thank you for your FOI request sent on 15^th December 2019. You asked:

Thank you for your answer to my request of October 2019 regarding the A4C
grade structure of the Workforce Directorate.

Further to your answer could you detail the distribution of the 12 x Band
7, 6 x Band 8a, 2 x Band 8b and 6 x Band 8c across the 21 sub sections of
the Workforce directorate indentified in your answer.

Can you also confirm where the two 'non A4C' grades are placed in the 21
sub sections.

Under Section 1(1)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I can
confirm that The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust holds
information that falls within the definition in your request. The Trust is
unable to give any further breakdown to this FOI response. Some
departments within the Workforce Directorate only have one or two staff
members in them and therefore giving the role or department alongside the
job banding will give away that persons salary.

We have reviewed your request and consider that the disclosure of such
information, even in a redacted form, is likely to be unfair as it
comprises information that individuals will regard as most private, and
that it may cause damage or distress to individuals if it is provided.
There is a reasonable expectation of some staff members that such
information will not be disclosed.

Please also find attached a briefing which explains your rights to request
a review by the Trust or to complain to the Information Commissioner’s
Office if you are not satisfied with the response from the Trust, and an
outline of the Trust’s policy on the Reuse of Public Sector Information.

If you have any queries regarding this email, please contact the Freedom
of Information Officer via [1][The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust request email] and quote the reference
number above in any future correspondence. If you would like to give

Dear COLE, Sophie (SHREWSBURY AND TELFORD HOSPITAL NHS TRUST),

Thank you for reply, and I apologise for the delay in replying

I have taken the time to examine the FOI regulations and published cases and guidance and as such I am puzzled as to which aspect of the regulations the Trust is employing to refuse my request.

Therefore, I wish you to review the Trust's previous answer.

Yours sincerely,

Michael Tomkiss
