Freedom of Information, Murray Edwards College, Cambridge

Dear Mariam Wegiel

Thank you for your email.

I am afraid we are unable to answer your Freedom of Information request at this stage, as the 2024 admissions cycle is ongoing. The College does not provide data on the ‘live’ admissions round until it has concluded. This exemption is covered under Section 36 of the Freedom of Information Act. This exemption relates to the disclosure of information which would be likely to prejudice the effective conduct of public affairs. In this case the prejudice would be to the integrity of the College’s applications and admissions process which form a fundamental part of its mission as an educational institution.

You are welcome to re-request this information after September 1st.

Yours sincerely,

Robert Hopwood
