HSE recommendations to ACPO,computational dosimetry

The request was successful.

Joanna Iatridou

Dear Health and Safety Executive,

ACPO keeps buying Directed Energy Weapons officially since the six Patten reports, which were consultations 2001 on the subject of less lethal than a bullet public order weapons. The FOI query concerns the DEWs because they are non-ionising radiation weapons=energy weapons. Normally,a target of these weapons should get access to computational dosimetry, a computer system that segments the entire body and calculates WHERE a target was shot with a directed energy weapon and HOW BADLY he was shot.
There is also a more general measurement: watt per kilo weight, that measures electricity storage in the body which establishes if yes or no a target was shot, as this will raise his body electricity by at least 40%.

ACPO, in the Patten Reports consulted with many.

There is no mention in these reports where should a shot target get computational dosimetry and watt per kilo measurement access.

Without these two measurements, there is no way for a target to obtain proof how many times he was shot with DEWs, where and when. Surely you being the top experts in health and safety, you pointed out that energy weapons injuries are serious but not seen or measured without suitable computers.
So, please publish all your recommendations to ACPO as well as all the centres where the public had free access to assess injury from directed energy weapons in the UK since 2001.

Yours faithfully,

Joanna Iatridou

Health and Safety Executive,Dear Chloe Saunders

There is no other option but to accept that you are giving me a full and clear answer to my query and thank you.
However the lack of consultation between ACPO and the HSE is causing physical incapacitation injuries and becomes a major safety gap as the criminal use of DEWs
has proliferated across the UK. I blogged about how this affects the HSE and other agencies here
