HPC registrations in Greater Manchester

Carl Tinker made this Freedom of Information request to Health Professions Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear Health Professions Council,

Please would you be able to confirm the number of people who are currently registered with yourselves, from the Greater Manchester region.

Could this be broken down into the 15 health professions you regulate.

Not sure if this final bit is possible (i understand if it is not). Is there anywhere which lists the number of HPC registrants who work between the public and private sector.

Yours faithfully,

Carl Tinker

Health Professions Council

Health Professions Council

Dear Mr Tinker

Thank you for your request for information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000, about the number of people registered with HPC in
the Greater Manchester region, broken down by profession.

We will deal with your request as promptly as possible and, at the latest,
within 20 working days. If you have any queries about your request please
contact us using this email address, or the address below.

The reference number for your request is FR 1330.

I am afraid that we do not hold information on the number of registrants
working in the public and private sectors. This is because registrants can
provide a home address and/or a work address as their contact address, so
we do not hold a work address for every registrant.

It is possible that the professional bodies for each profession regulated
by HPC may hold information on the breakdown by the public and private
sectors, or they may be able to provide estimates. The contact details for
the professional bodies can be found by clicking on the links for each
profession on this page of our website:

Health Professions Council

Dear Mr Tinker

Following my earlier e-mail, I am writing to ask you to clarify your
request. This is because we need further details from you in order to
identify and locate the information.

Please could you provide a list of the postcode districts in the Greater
Manchester area which are required. This just needs to be the first part
of the postcode (the first three or four letters or numbers, before the
break in the postcode). If you need assistance with this, please contact
me on 020 7840 9710, or by e-mail.

Yours sincerely
