Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,
I would like to know how much, as a percentage, of your total sports coverage is devoted to showing live women’s sport.
How much as a percentage of total recorded sports coverage is women’s sport.
And how much of the sports output on news channels is women’s sport.
Additionally, who is responsible for deciding whether or not to show women’s sport. How those decisions are taken and whether any research has been undertaken on ways of encouraging more coverage of women’s sport.
By women’s sport I mean all sport played by women and girls in single sex sports. I would exclude, for example, mixed doubles in tennis.
