Dear Denise Richards,

 

Thank you for your information request received on 8/10/19 about money
spent on ‘minority organisations’

 

However, we received two identical requests from you on 8/10/19 one at
07.53 and one at 07.54.  The first request received at 07.53 will be dealt
with under FOI 13552.  Section 14 – Repeat request exemption applies to
the other request. The Council is not required to deal with repeat request
which is asking for exactly the same information as the first request
received.

 

Please clarify the following, so we can search if we hold the information
requested.

 

Question

 

Could you please advise where and how much money has been given to
minority organisations  in Derby   particularly  black one s .Could you
please provide a clear breakdown.

 

What is your definition of a minority organisation?  Please provide a list
of the specific organisation covered by your request?

                                                                                                                               

What is your definition of ‘black ones’?  Please list which specific black
organisations you mean?

 

Does your request relate to specific funding given to minority groups? For
example, does it relate to funding for training ?  Please list the
specific type of funding issues/activities that apply to your request?

 

What time period does your request cover. For example is 2019/20 financial
year only.

 

Section 12: Exceeds appropriate limit exemption will apply to your request
if it will take more than 18 hours to search/extract the information.
 Therefore please consider refining your request by stating the specific
organisations and funding activities your request is about as advised
above.

 

We won’t be able to deal with your request until you provide the
additional information.    

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 says that we must comply with your
request for information within 20 working days, from the date following
receipt of your request unless we have to ask for clarification, as in
this case. The 20 day response deadline clock has stopped from the date of
this email, the clock will reset from the date we receive your response
clarifying your request and we will advise you of the new 20 working day
deadline at this stage.

Unfortunately, if we don’t hear from you by 9/12/19 , we will send you a
refusal notice because we have not received all the information we need to
deal with your request.

Dear Denise Richards,

 

Thank for your request for information received on 8/10/19 for ‘money
given to minority organisations’.

 

We sent you a clarification notification on 8/10/19 asking for more
information – see attached.

 

Unfortunately, we have not received your response and your request has
been closed.  This is because the Council is not required to comply with a
request if we do not receive all the information we need to identify and
locate the information (Section 1(3) of the Freedom of Information Act
2000).

 

However, if you wish to submit a new request which more clearly describes
the information you are looking for, we would be able to consider your
request and respond within the 20 working day response deadline.
