How much profit have you made from hiring out the school to community groups?
Dear Bordesley Green Girls' School,
I think it is disgusting that you charge to much to use the sports hall and the schools facilities. They are paid for by the tax payer and it should be cheaper.
I want to know how much money you have made from lettings since you started them up again after lockdown.
I want details of how much you have received from community groups since september 2020 and what it has cost you to hire out the facilities. What have you had to pay out in that time? It can't be much.

Dear Bordesley Green Girls' School,
The statutory time limit for you to respond to my request has now passed. Whilst I know that this is a difficult year, the law is the law and you should have responded promptly. As the school is open and staff are working normally, the deadline for this was the 18 November 2021.

Thank you for your email and apologies for the delayed response.
I am sorry to hear that you consider the charges made by the school to
hire the sports hall to be high. I can assure you that the school does
not seek to make a profit from activities such, but does wish to cover all
of the costs associated with the hire of the facilities. Due to Covid the
school ceased hiring its facilities on 16.3.20 and only began to reopen to
external clients on 6th July 2021.
I have therefore set out below the income received and expenditure
incurred by the school during the period 1st April to 30th September 2021.
Income received = £3,810
Expenditure has been incurred against the following:-
Employee Costs = £7,825
Utility Costs = £2,116
Software Charges = £114
Other Miscellaneous items = £2
The total expenditure incurred by the school therefore totals £10,057.
This income and expenditure summary for the period 1st April to 30th
September shows that the school incurred a deficit of £6,247 whilst
running these activities.
