How much money does comic relief receive?

The request was refused by British Broadcasting Corporation.

Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,

Can the BBC please say how much of the money raised from the various comic relief events has actually gone to the charity and not been swallowed up in admin costs etc since its launch. Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

richard clarke

What are your reasons for requesting a review? You need to articulate what it is about the decision and application of any relevant exemption of the FOIA that you disagree with.

Although in this case it wouldn't matter as they have clearly specified that as a charity Comic Relief isn't subject to FOIA legislation.

Dear Richard Clarke

We are writing to inform you that we are still in the process of conducting our internal review of the BBC’s previous response to your request for information and therefore we will not be in a position to complete our review by Friday 8th April. Accordingly, we wish to advise you that we are extending the existing timeline to respond to your request for an internal review by a further period of 20 working days which we calculate will now expire Wednesday 11th May 2022.

Although we are extending the existing timeline, we anticipate that we will be able to respond in advance of the extension expiring.

Yours sincerely
