I would like to know how many women were made redundant by Westminster Council while off on maternity leave in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.

I would also like to know the ethnic breakdown of any women made redundant while on maternity leave by Westminster Council in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Finally, can you clarify how many (and the ethnicity of) any women Westminster City Council's Children's Services Department made redundant in this time frame.

2011.

-         Number of employees in Westminster City Council departments who
were made redundant while on maternity leave are as follows:

-         We are unable to release further detailed ethnicity information
relating to 2009 and 2010. This is exempt under Data Protection Act,
Section 40 (2) as it will enable to identify individuals and doing so
would breach principle 1 of the Data Protection Act 1998 (Fair and Lawful
Processing).  This is because it would be unfair to those people who could
be identified in the information who have no expectation that their
personal data would be made public. Under section 17 of the Freedom of
Information Act this response constitutes a Refusal Notice in respect of
this information.

 

3.         Finally, can you clarify how many (and the ethnicity of) any
women Westminster City Council's Children's Services Department made
redundant in this time frame.

-         52 women were made redundant in Children’s Services during the
period from 2008 to 2011.
