How many trainees completed their teacher training and what % of those trainees were on an NQT placement vs how many were on supply/not employed (by a school full time) at the end of their training.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Ashton-under-Lyne Sixth Form College should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Ashton-under-Lyne Sixth Form College,

I am writing to make an Open Government request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. In order to assist you with this request, I am outlining my query as specifically as possible. If, however, this request is too wide or unclear, I would be grateful if you could contact me as I understand that under the Act, you are required to advise and assist those who request information from you.

Firstly, from your most recent complete cohort data, how many teacher trainees successfully completed their training?

Secondly, how many of those same trainees were on an NQT placement at the end of their training, compared with how many were not employed (by a school full time) at the end of their training.

Lastly, How many of those same trainees were employed through a supply agency?

I understand that under the Act, I am entitled to a response within 20 working days. I would be grateful if you could confirm by email that you have received this request. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Yours faithfully,

Luke Jacobs

Re: YOUR REQUEST FOR INFORMATION – UNIQUE REF:  FOI 238

Thank you for your request for information which was received on 30 March
2017.   You have requested the following information:

Firstly, from your most recent complete cohort data, how many teacher
trainees successfully completed their training?

Secondly, how many of those same trainees were on an NQT placement at the
end of their training, compared with how many were not employed (by a

The college reasonably requires further information from you in order to
identify and locate the information that you are seeking.

In particular, I need to know, does your request refer to all teacher

information reasonably required to locate the information is supplied; I
will not be able to take this matter further without receiving this extra
information from you.  If I do not receive clarification within three
months your request will be considered to have lapsed.

Once your clarification is received, the college will begin to process
your request.

If you have any queries about this letter, please do not hesitate to
contact me.

If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your
request and wish to make a complaint, or request a review of the College's
